RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS PROGRAMME: RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS is an autoimmune disease which causes joint inflammations, pain, loss of function and eventual joint destructions and deformity in many people around us. As the pathophysiology of the disease is examined, and the mechanism of inflammation is well understood the modern medicine focus on a treatment plan to fight against inflammations as there is no well-recognised defence strategy only.
According to the ayurvedic view of the pathophysiology of the disease, the imbalance is at a higher level of physiology and the GIT tract which cause immune response and inflammation. Considering this, we at Ayurbirth Healing Centre are introducing a new healing programme as “RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS CURE” and a physician designs a programme after examination and diagnosis on arrival.

The defensive strategies are consisting of the following: • Balancing Dosha. • Increasing the Digestive and Metabolic fire or Agni. • Stopping the formation of toxins (Aama) • Excreting of toxins. (Aama) • Restoring the damaged Intestinal Mucosa and Abdomen. • Practicing Pranayama and Meditation. • Observing wholesome Diet. • Applying of Shamana (Pacifying) and Shodhana (Panchakrma) treatments according to the condition of the Patient.
REJUVENATION PROGRAM (Rasayana Chikilsa) / BODY DETOX PROGRAM (Shodhana Chikilsa): This process aims to purify the whole body to attain balance in all the elements and bodily systems. During the healing period, treatments will include body massage, Snehapanam, Nasyam, Abhyangam, Kizhi, Vasthi, Dhara, Pizhichil, Thalapothichil, Virechanam, Steam bath, and other internally administered medicines will be given.
LIVE LONG, LIVE YOUNG PROGRAM Kayakalap Chikilsa: This is a major treatment package in the Ayurvedic medicine system. It slows down the aging process, stops the degeneration of cells in the body, and boosts the immune system. Administering Rasayana (a special medicine) internally is the main part of the treatment but during the 28 days, the client will also undergo all of the following: body massage, Snehapanam, Nasyam, Dhara, Pizhichil, Thalapothichil, Kizhi, Abhyangam, and medicated steam bath (see single treatment list below for details). This treatment is good for men and women of all ages who want to live long and remain young!
PSORIASIS TREATMENT PROGRAM Sidhma Chikilsa: This treatment is very effective in treating all types of Psoriasis. The program will include Lepanam, Abhyangam, Snehapanam, Pizhichil, medicated steam bath, and clients will also be prescribed specific and specially prepared internal herbal medicines.
WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM: This program involves 2 different types of massage using powders and oils, treatment using the medicated steam bath, and a specifically prescribed mix of herbal juices and herbal teas. A very important part of the treatment is the special Ayurvedic diet which will be advised specifically for each client. It includes diet, Udvarthanam, Abhyangam, Padabhyangam, Kizhi, Steambath & Yoga, etc
BODY BEAUTIFUL PROGRAM: This treatment is to improve skin tone and complexion and also improves the overall body condition. The program involves herbal face packs, herbal cream massage, herbal oil massages, medicated steam bath treatments, and herbal tea prescriptions. The ultimate bodily treat. It includes Abhyamgam, Dhara, Kizhi, face pack, Thalapothichil, steam bath, etc.
SPINAL CARE PROGRAM: This program is to promote overall spinal health - preventing potential problems in the future and treating already existing spinal complaints. Special massages, Kativasthi, Snehavasthi, Kashayavasthi, Pizhichil, Njavarakizhi are all included in the program and a series of specific daily exercises will be advised which will be according to each client’s condition.
MEN’S HEALTH PROGRAMME: The Men’s Health Programme is to boost cardiorespiratory capacity, muscular capacity, flexibility, and body composition as well as to improve social health, mental health, emotional health, and spiritual health. Dr P.S. Shayana, is part of an Ayurvedic lineage as her father is also an Ayurvedic physician, and graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore. And she is also well- versed in the manufacture of Ayurvedic medicines. With great professional experience in Ayurvedic treatments, it is her goal to lead people who are physically and mentally suffering along the road to complete recovery. Dr Shaniyaz is well versed and has great experience as an Ayurvedic doctor. He received his medical degree from the Ayurveda College Vaidyaretnam in Ollur/Kerala and is also trained in Botanic and Ayurvedic medicine.. Single Treatments
Abhyangam (€30)
Abhyangam is the general body massage in Ayurveda using medicated oils, aiding the removal of toxic accumulation. This treatment is done normally for 30 to 60 minutes synchronized four hand massage. It is a very effective rejuvenation therapy that improves circulation, strength, skin lustier, immuno-modulation, and sound sleep.
Shirodhara (€45)
``Sirodhara`` literally means continuous flow (dhara) on the head (sira). Medicated oil, medicated buttermilk, herbal extract, etc.; can flow as a continuous stream over the upper part of the forehead along with gentle massage over the scalp. The treatment may last for 30-45 minutes. It is highly effective for diseases of the nervous system and for emotional problems such as chronic depression, insomnia, loss of memory, and anxiety (panic) attacks. It is especially useful for mental relaxation.
Mukhalepam (€10)
The application of medicated paste on the face is called Mukhalepam. Mukhalepam is only done with Ayurvedic cosmetics and fruits. It alleviates the vitiated doshas and helps to reduce wrinkles, improves skin tone, and rejuvenates the eyes.
Udvarthanam (€40)
Udhwarthana is a special type of abhyanga (deep tissue massage) in which herbal powders are used for massaging. The duration of the treatment is 45 to 60 minutes synchronized four hand massage. It helps to pacify Kapha dosa and excess fat from the body, softens and exfoliates dead cells, strengthens and tones up the muscles and improves the mobility of joints, removes cellulitis, and helps in weight reduction.

Well melted and strained medicated ghee will be collected in a leak-proof boundary around the eyes with black gram paste. This helps to clean the eyes, gives a cooling effect, and strengthens the muscles and optic nerves. Beneficial for refractive errors and degenerative diseases of the eyes.
Greeva vasti / Kati vasti /Janu vasti Urovasthi `{`3 x €30 = €90`}`
Retention of lukewarm medicated oils in a leak-proof boundary made up of green gram powder paste over the upper back-cervical (Greeva vasti), in the lower back – lumbar(Kati vasti) and in the upper middle of the chest – thorax (Uro vasti), in the knee joints(Janu vasti) is beneficial in localized and radiating pain of different origin like Cervical spondylosis, sprain, and strain, headaches, Low backache, Lumbar spondylosis, Sciatica, Respiratory complaints like Bronchitis, Asthma, heart diseases and pain in knee joints respectively.
Nasyam `{`3 x €10 = €30`}`
Nasyam is one of the parts of panchakarma in Ayurveda treatments. It is a medication done through the nose. Nostrils are the doorway to head. This is a treatment for cleansing the areas above the shoulder basically nose, throat, sinuses, and head. The main benefit of Nasyam is improving circulation and it nourishes the tissues and improves the sense of organ perceptions. It improves vision, preventing hair loss and hair greying, helpful in diseases like facial paralysis, migraine, sinusitis etc.
Njawarakizhi `{`3 x €60 = €180`}`
After applying the medicated oil over the whole body or any specific part, the medicinal rice (Njavarayari) and the root of Sida retusa extract are processed with milk and to be made in the form of a paste and apply over the whole body or any specific part along with massage. This is done for 30 – 45 minutes. This treatment renders strengths to nerves and muscles and purifies the blood and is beneficial for all types of rheumatism, joint pain, emaciation of limbs, high blood pressure and it improves general body weakness, skin color, and complexion.
Lepanam `{`3 x €30 = €90`}`
Local application of medicinal herbal paste mixed with herbal decoction, medicated oils, etc particularly in skin and joints. It reduces pain, swelling, redness, and local temperature. This is useful for various types of inflammatory conditions, arthritis, gout, skin diseases, and eczema. The duration of the treatment is 30 – 60 minutes.
Pizhichil `{`3 x €60 = €180`}`
This is a therapeutic process in which lukewarm medicated decoction / medicated oil / medicated buttermilk / fermented decoction is poured all over the body in a uniform rhythmic way continuously in a specific direction along with gentle massages. The duration of the treatment is 30 – 45 minutes. It helps to relieves body pain and muscle spasm imparts great relaxation and calmness to both body and mind. This treatment is effective for rheumatic diseases like arthritis, paralysis, weakness of muscular and nervous systems, and skin diseases like psoriasis eczema, etc.
Kizhi `{`3 x €40 = €120`}`
It is a type of swedana (sudation) treatment in which the whole body or any specific part by the application of medicinal leaves, dry herbal powders, and lemon pudding externally in the form of boluses tied up in muslin bag, dipping it in warm medicated oils. This is done for 30 - 45 minutes. This treatment is effective in chronic back pain and rheumatic complaints, Arthritis, pain and swelling in the joints, it stimulates and strengthens the nervous and muscular systems, increases the circulation and metabolic rate, reduces stiffness and pain, improves the skin tone.
